Welcome:

SOME HAVE COMPARED GOING TO A NEW CHURCH TO THE FIRST DAY AT A NEW SCHOOL. New faces, new facility, new fears – it’s all a part of the experience, unfortunately. We understand that, so we try to make it as easy as possible for people to visit Grace Assembly for the first time. You are not going to stand out or be singled out. In fact, you will probably find a lot of people here just like you.

One of the questions that are often asked when visiting a new place is, “Where do I park?” and “Where do I go?” Let’s address the parking first.

We have 2 parking lots. We encourage you to try the eastern lot by our Grace sign first. If you have any questions, feel free to see one of our orange or yellow vests. They would love to help you navigate our campus. For your safety we have included signage and directionals to help with the flow of traffic and how to best exit our property.

So, now that you have parked…where do you go? If you have children (birth-5th grade), then we invite you to utilize the double doors by our parking lot. From there someone will greet your family and let you know what is available for you child. In addition to offering a top-notch children's church program, we also take your child’s safety very seriously.  We have “Check-in stations” throughout our building where our team will guide you through “checking-in”, and after doing so, printing off two tags. One tag is for your child and the other is for you to match when you pick your child up. All of our volunteers have gone through an application process and has been background checked. We count it a privilege to serve your family, and we want to provide a safe, loving environment for your child to explore their faith in Jesus Christ. Once your child has been securely checked-in, you can head upstairs to the Sanctuary for our adult service. Turn right after climbing one flight to enter the sanctuary or continue on to our balcony if it is open.

Where do you go if you don’t have a child in that age range (birth-5th grade? We invite you to use the glass doors under our portico (closest to West Genesee Street).

The first thing you will likely notice is you will be met immediately by greeters at the doors who can point you in the right direction.  Our smiling hospitality team would love to welcome you, give you direction, as well as answer any questions that you might have. Our hospitality staff will be wearing a “grace shirt.” So, look for anyone that has a shirt with the word “grace” on it, and they will be able to help you with anything.

As you enter the church lobby you will also see younger people, older people, and people in between. You will also notice that some like to dress up for church and others like to come casual. We have it all – so come as you are! Also, if you are in need to visit the restrooms, they can be found on your left as you walk through our foyer. Also, we have an accessible/family bathroom on the right. There are also bathrooms on our balcony level as well.

Straight ahead from our main entrance is our main meeting space that we call, “the sanctuary”. If the balcony is open, and you are so inclined, use the stairs to your right to navigate to the next floor up. Turn right to enter our balcony-level of the sanctuary.

Please note: You cannot navigate to and from the balcony from our sanctuary stairs. You have to use the hallway stairs.

We offer two Sunday morning worship services. One is at 9am and the other begins at 11am. We do not intentionally program either service to be different than the other. For the most part we will sing the same songs and the same message will be preached. As you enter the sanctuary you are free to sit wherever you like. You will notice that we love to sing together, and we enjoy listening to quality music. It’s nothing too extreme in terms of “rockin’ out” or “real churchy.” We think you will like it, and hope you feel at home in our adult services.

Then a speaker will bring a practical and hopefully inspiring message from God’s Word, the Bible. It’s usually about 30-40 minutes in length, and we provide message notes to help everyone follow along through the Youversion Bible app. Our main goal is to apply God’s truth to our everyday living.

The entire service is about an hour and fifteen minutes but feels much faster! In addition to offering children’s service for ages birth -5th grade, we also over a “Crossover” for all students in 6th and 7th grade where they will learn how to study God’s Word after the adults sing songs of praise and worship. Feel free to approach anyone with a Grace shirt for directions or any questions. You can also peruse our website for more details.
